Encouraged by friends who believed in his productions, ADAMA chose to self-produce his first full-length album—discovering a new creative confidence in the process. EUPHORIA

Written during a period of creative uncertainty in Senegal, Euphoria emerged when ADAMA stopped searching for the "right" collaborators and instead rediscovered his own instincts. After revisiting a collection of instrumentals sent over the years by a producer friend, one track immediately resonated. The lyrics followed naturally, capturing the contrast between emotional exhaustion and the desire to reconnect with the joy, curiosity and excitement that once came so easily. A final layer of live guitar brought the organic warmth the song needed, completing a collaboration that became one of ADAMA's most personal releases.

Born from four deeply personal stories, Empty Space marked the beginning of ADAMA's recording journey. Inspired while travelling through Los Angeles and recorded in London, the EP explores love, loss, friendship and compassion—different experiences connected by the same feeling: the spaces people leave behind. More than a first release, it became the foundation of a songwriting style rooted in honesty, intimacy and human connection.

MY LOVER

Filmed in Paris

Born from an impossible love, My Lover captures the emotional ambiguity of falling for someone you could never truly have. The video was filmed in a beautiful loft in Montmartre, Paris, with two contemporary dancers. Despite badly injuring his ankle the day before while rushing to catch the Eurostar from London, nothing was going to stop the shoot.

MY DEAREST FRIEND

A tribute to a childhood friend who took his own life in Paris. The song began as a poem after a phone call from ADAMA's mother, later finding its melody while travelling through Los Angeles. One of his most personal compositions, it transforms grief into music, gratitude and remembrance.

HE DIDN'T CRY

Inspired by conversations with a homeless man near a Paris metro station. Listening to his life story day after day became a lesson in resilience and perspective, reminding ADAMA that even during his own struggles, reminding ADAMA that sometimes the greatest act of compassion is simply listening.

EMPTY SPACE

The title track explores the emotional space left by absence, and the quiet hope that one day it may be filled. Written in Paris in 2011, it became the emotional thread that connects the entire EP—a meditation on love, absence and learning to let go. Looking back, Empty Space wasn't simply an EP—it was the beginning of a songwriting voice that continues to shape ADAMA's music today.
